Description£º RC series EMI shielding coating is one in a series of ROBOO conductive coatings materials used for EMI/RFI shielding protection. This material was specially formulated for low electrical resistance at very thin dry film thickness on plastic electronic equipment housings. It exhibits excellent environmental aging stability with superior scratch/mar resistance while providing excellent long-term shielding and grounding properties.

 Method of Use: Mixing and Dilution: RC series emi shielding coating is easily mixed, 10-15 minutes, on a paint shaker or by stirring before use. Check to be sure all solids are in suspension prior to use. This material can be reduced up to 1:1 using MEK or a special blend of 50% isopropyl alcohol, 34.5% acetone, 15% isobutyl alcohol, and 0.5% diacetone alcohol which was formulated for solvent sensitive plastics.
 Application Method : This material can be sprayed using conventional or HVLP systems with recirculating HVLP being the preferred method due to the high transfer efficiency. Robotic application of electrodag 18DB70 is optimal with recirculation of the paint from the pot through the gun and back via a pump delivery system. 
Drying: RC series emi shielding coating dries to touch in 5 minutes and can be handled in approximately 10 minutes, depending on ambient temperature. It can be force dried for 10 minutes at 225¡ãC (107¡ãF) or air dried for 24 hours. 
Quality Control : Measure resistance after coating is dry. Digital ohmmeter measurements using the same type of test probes at constant spacing avoids confusion and is highly recommended. Mash Cleaning : Masks can be cleaned with solvent or solventless mask washers. Over-spray can be removed from plastic with MEK or a 40%/60% acetone/IPA wipe.
