¢ñ.What is electro-luminescent (EL)
An electro-luminescent (EL) lamp is structured with a phosphor layer sandwiched between two electrodes; it functions electrically as a capacitor. When AC voltage is applied across the electrodes, the light generated from the phosphor is radiated through the transparent top electrode. EL lamps have extremely low power draw and generate no heat under normal operating conditions. EL lamps are flexible ¨C they can bend to conform to a products¡¯shape and even operate while being flexed.
EL lamps are virtually shock-proof and are not subject to catastrophic failure. They¡¯re thin ¨C as thin as 0.008 inches,allowing them to provide light while using minimum space. Their soft, even light is completely non-glaring. You can use EL lamps with virtually any display technology ¨C LCD,conductive rubber keypads, membrane switches, control and instrument panels, and more.

III. Products Characteristics

Meters: back light and light plate for meter and apparatus for automobile, motorcycle, plane, ships. |

Advertisement band: indoor colored, flashing band, badge and company¡¯s logo. |

V. Directions of usage
1. Form of enclosure:
Direct Contact: Contact point connects to PCB with zebra strip without contacting the electrode.
Pin Contact: Contact point connects to PCB with pins (FFC/FPC/metal pins).
2. Driver power:
The voltage and frequency for EL is not easy to obtain from batteries or alternative electricity network. It needs a transformer (inverter) to transfer the DV from the batteries or the AV into the right voltage and frequency. Through the EL driver¡¯s circuit, the EL products¡¯ flashing speed, times, cycle and colors can be controlled. Our engineers can design the best configuration according to your requirements and provide you¡¯re the right EL driver and IC.

We develop and produce various EL drivers (adaptor driver and IC driver), which match our products.
Voltage is from:
DC:1.5V~24V.
AC:110~220V
Volume:
We can produce the model of different sizes required by the clients.
